Dr. Eric Boehme
After a successful career in human medicine as a pharmacist and nuclear pharmacist, Dr. Eric Boehmer felt called to pursue his true passion: veterinary care. Growing up in New Mexico and later living in Texas, he witnessed firsthand the urgent need for rescue care for distressed animals. This inspired him to make a significant change, leading to the founding of Animal Hospital of Colorado in 2001, with a vision to eventually support an animal rescue.
In 2008, Dr. Boehmer’s dream became reality when he launched a nonprofit rescue organization, which has since flourished into All Aboard Animal Rescue. For over 16 years, Animal Hospital of Colorado has partnered closely with All Aboard to provide essential medical care for their foster dogs—and, more recently, foster cats. Rescue animals are not just a passion for Dr. Boehmer but the heartbeat of every decision made at Animal Hospital of Colorado.
When he’s not at the clinic, Dr. Boehmer enjoys unwinding at his cabin, spending quality time with his family and their rescue pets (2 dogs and 4 cats), and riding his motorcycle.
